Mrs. Westhoff is celebrating her total knee’s birthday! She surprised us in clinic with some delightful cupcakes to commemorate her 1st year with her new knee. With her new knees she is ready to travel and enjoy her new found mobility. She has worked hard to get to this point, and really all the credit should go to her for her hard work in rehab.
Total knee replacements can take up to a year to completely recover from. It takes time for the muscles to reboot, and the stiffness/swelling to resolve. The good news is 95% of patients report good to excellent outcomes with total knee replacements with resolution of their knee arthritis pain, and enhanced functionality.
We look forward to celebrating many more knee birthdays to come with Mrs. Westhoff!
